True strength is not only in design but also in the material used. Commercially Pure Grade 4 Titanium is a Grade of unalloyed Titanium. In Commercially Pure Titanium, the mechanical properties are controlled by the chemistry input; higher amounts of Nitrogen, Oxygen, and Iron will increase strength properties. CP Grade 4 is higher in strength than CP Grade 1, 2, and 3. It is sometimes referred to as “CP 70” due to its approximate yield strength. CP Grade 4 Titanium typically comes in the Annealed condition. This Grade of Titanium exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, as well as high strength. It is used in a variety of industries such as chemical, marine, and aerospace.
